The Certified Leadership Practitioner (CLP) Program
The Certified Leadership Practitioner (CLP) Program consists of a total of at least 150 hours of learning. Anybody enrolling into the program to receive certification must complete the 4 core seminars of 16 hours duration each, followed by practice time to apply the new skills and knowledge in the different areas of leadership. In addition enrollees will select at least three seminars from the list of elective courses within 3 years of starting the CLP program to complete the certification. To maintain the certification a continuing education sequence is provided during which Certified Leadership Practitioners complete 90 hours of learning and practice within each three year period.
CLP Program Details/Breakdown
Part 1: Core Program (118 hours)
Four live required core courses (64 hours of training/54 hours of practice)
- Leaders as Coaches (15 hours of practice)
- Leaders as Mentors (15 hours of practice)
- Leaders as Innovators (9 hours of practice)
- Leaders as Communicators (15 hours of practice)
Total of 54 hours of practical application of the four core courses and the completion of additional elective courses or a combination of the two.
Part 2: Elective Program (minimum of 32 hours)

- Leaders as Motivators (16 hours of training)
- Leaders as Decision Makers (16 hours of training)

- Leaders as Visionaries (8 hours of training)
- Stress Management for Leaders (16 hours of training)
- Time Management for Leaders (8 hours of training)
- Burnout Introductory Course (6 hours of training)
Part 3: Continuing Education for CLP Maintenance
90 hours of continuing education every three years to maintain certification. 10 hours of CEUs required in each of the four core courses.
